AXXESS – Fat, Simple, Flexible, Poly.

GForce AXXESS is a quick and easy way to get stunning results in your production and it is a master at bass. It has a fantastic giant sound and a super fun sequencer that will surprise you. Whilst you can keep things simple, don't let its looks deceive you. You can also go much deeper, thanks to our unique X-Modifiers. They make it simpler and quicker to program complex sounds. AXXESS lends itself superbly to Electronica, Synthpop, Drum and Bass, Ambient, Rock, Prog Rock, Hip Hop and more.

A Synth with a Pedigree

AXXESS retains the warm analogue sound and fundamental architecture at the heart of the original 1975 AXXE, but builds on it in ways that extend its sonic and musical capabilities. This emulation of the famous synth is the sibling of our award-winning Oddity3 and inherited its character.

AXXESS features an efficient Preset Browser, over 350 new presets, a sub-oscillator, an arpeggiator and a straightforward 16-step sequencer, biting distortion, analogue delay and luscious Reverb effects, a Vintage control to add authentic analogue imperfections, velocity to filter and VCA for expressivity and a fully scalable UI designs.

X-Modifiers - A Sound Design Playground

Using our unique X-Modifier technology, users can reach new sonic heights with AXXESS. With an independent LFO and Envelope for almost every parameter on the synth, AXXESS allows you to create hugely complex sounds. And, while the tone and character of the synth remain authentic to the original, the X-Modifiers allow you to take this classic sound to unexplored realms of possibility. AXXESS is the AXXE sound on steroids.

Inspiration At The Speed Of Sound

AXXESS features our brand-new preset browser, which gives you the power to organise your sounds how you want. With extensive tagging, sorting and search possibilities, finding the presets you want is quick and easy. We've included more than 350 production-ready presets. We've enlisted an array of diverse sound designers and artists, including Zardonic, GEOsynths, Christian Laffitte, Richard Veenstra and Ramon Kerstens (K/V), Jordan Passmore, Alex Ball, Dave Spiers, Tom Wolfe, Graeme Rawson, Boudicca's Bass Service and more. The patches range from Electronica to Hip Hop, also exploring Synth-Pop, DnB, Dance, Ambient, Cinematic and Prog Rock, with a lot of recreation you might have heard on more than one hit.

AXXESS Key Features:

  • Augmented yet faithful recreation of a classic analogue synth.

Sounds really nice, but looks a bit shit. I dunno why GForce (that name makes me think of a video card - the 90s want their names back), make these delightful sounding synths and then dress them up in eye-wateringly bad GUIs. Then they make you wait 10 years for an update. Who designs your GUIs? The alien from ALF? Either the fonts are hard to read, or they're blurry or too big or too small. Goofy is the only way to describe them. ImpOscar 3 is another mess. I get that you're trying to clone 50 year old synths, but must you clone the badly used real estate too?

Hardware synths were big and bulky; designed around the electronics they housed. What electronics are inside a Minimonsta? We waited years for an update - and its still ugly. Oddity 3 has great pad sounds but makes me want to get an eye test. Did someone rub cooking grease on the fonts? Oddity 2 was a mess, but I could at least see what was on screen. Fix your GUIs, or have someone who knows what they're doing work on them. Or ask Softube to make 'em for you. Look at their Minimoog. Or even their SH101. Class. Frankly, I think this brand mostly coasted off the reviews in that silly Computer Music magazine (everything got 9s and 10s). Most of us serious folk have moved on. Who has time to stare at badly designed plugins just to get at some presets. PS, GForce, your original Minimonsta presets were designed around the Melohman concept, basically morphing presets. So why did you leave those presets in, but now there's only one variation? Some might think I am nitpicking, but as one of their earliest adopters, I think I've earned the right to kvetch a little. GUI design is now leaps and bounds ahead of what GForce is doing. Now that FM synth, that's more like it.

This synth is the shit. Really, really punchy & clear. The presets are excellent. The interface is large and clear. I can't believe I got this for free (from Computer Music Mag). Well recommended.
