Beat Machine EZX is a sample library for EZdrummer 3 and Superior Drummer 3 dedicated to the rhythmic foundations of classic hip-hop. The library focuses on the transition from analog drum machines to the digital sampling era, covering sounds reminiscent of the late 1980s through the early 2000s.

The collection features roughly 300 individual drum sounds curated from a variety of vintage hardware sources. Toontrack utilized a combination of analog drum machines and iconic digital samplers to capture the specific grit and lo-fi textures associated with boom bap and early West Coast production. The library includes several "kit" configurations that blend synthesized elements with processed acoustic samples.
