A JSFX bitcrusher plugin for REAPER that offers:
* Three Channel Modes (Stereo/Mid/Side): Apply bit reduction and downsampling equally to the left and right channels (Stereo), to the mono component only (Mid), or to the stereo width component only (Side).
* Input Gain (dB): Boosts or attenuates the incoming signal from -30 dB to +30 dB before the bit-crushing process.
* Bit Reduction (Off/On): Enables or disables the bit reduction stage. When enabled, the Bit Depth control becomes active.
* Bit Depth (4-bit to 16-bit): Controls the bit resolution of the audio signal from 4 to 16-bits. The Bit Depth slider is only visible when Bit Reduction is active.
* Noise Gain (dB): Boosts or attenuates the level of the quantization noise generated by the bit reduction stage from -30 dB to +30 dB. At 0 dB the noise level is unchanged. The Noise Gain slider is only visible when Bit Reduction is active.
* Downsampling (1x to 200x): Uses a sample-and-hold process to reduce the sample rate of the input signal. The slider controls the downsampling factor from 1 to 200. When set to 1, no downsampling is applied.
* HPF Freq (0 Hz – 20 kHz): Applies an adjustable high-pass filter to the whole signal. The filter becomes active only when the frequency is set above 0 Hz.
* LPF Freq (20 Hz – 21 kHz): Applies an adjustable low-pass filter to the whole signal. The filter becomes active only when the frequency is set below 21 kHz.
* Dry/Wet Mix (0% to 100%): Blend between the original signal and the bit-crushed signal, from 0% (fully dry) to 100% (fully wet).
* Output Gain (dB): Sets the final output level of the plugin from -30 dB to +30 dB to compensate for volume changes.
* GUI Status Indicators: Show the active/inactive status of the high-pass and low-pass filters, as well as the bit reduction and downsampling stages, as a visual reference.
* GUI Sample Rate Readout: Shows the current sample rate based on the value of the Downsampling slider. When the Downsampling slider is at 1, it displays the project's sample rate. When the slider is greater than 1, it displays the downsampled sample rate.
* GUI Bypass Button: A smooth bypass button for toggling the effect on or off without audio clicks. It is available for automation as "Bypass (Smooth)" in the plugin's parameter list.
* Minimal CPU usage.
