Fusion

The Solid State Logic Fusion is an all-analog 2U stereo outboard processor designed to bring the perfect combination of tonal character, weight, and space to your stereo stems and final mix bus. It introduces five completely new and distinct analog coloration tools that are specifically engineered to add the detail, warmth, and polish that only real analog circuits can provide. Fusion is the ideal tool for the modern hybrid studio, allowing you to add that final, professional touch of analog magic to your in-the-box mixes, giving them a richness and dimension that is often difficult to achieve digitally.

Fusion's five sections can be used individually or combined to create a wide palette of analog textures. The signal path begins with a new Vintage Drive circuit, a non-linear saturation tool for adding gentle harmonic warmth or aggressive, overdriven grit. Next is the acclaimed Violet EQ, a musical and intuitive two-band shelving equalizer with minimal phase shift, perfect for adding low-end weight and high-end sparkle. A switchable High-Pass Filter is also included to clean up low-frequency mud. Following the EQ is a High Frequency Compressor, which transparently tames harshness and brittleness in the upper frequencies, creating a smooth and tape-like top end. This is a unique and powerful tool for smoothing out cymbals, vocals, and overly bright mixes.

The final two sections provide unique spatial enhancement. The Stereo Image Enhancer is a true analog Mid-Side circuit that allows you to widen or narrow the stereo field, adding impressive depth and width to your mix. Finally, the SSL Transformer circuit introduces a custom-designed SSL transformer that adds subtle low-frequency harmonics and a slight high-frequency phase shift, imparting the gentle heft and sheen of a classic analog console.
