Naada Cello places a polyphonic physically modeled cello inside GeoShred Studio, where chords, layered lines, and sustained melodic phrases respond continuously to pressure and gesture on the pitch surface. The AccelMatrix engine drives the cello's warm, singing tone from the deep C string through the upper registers of the A string.

Works with MPE controllers, wind and breath controllers, and GeoShred Control, a free iPhone and iPad companion app that delivers a multi-touch expressive surface for live performance.

Naada Cello runs inside GeoShred Studio, where the full expressive range of the cello is accessible across GeoShred's multi-row continuous pitch surface. Press into the grid to shape dynamics and vibrato; slide between positions for legato phrasing or sustained chordal voicings. Unlike traditional cello performance, Naada Cello is fully polyphonic, allowing multiple simultaneous voices for harmonic layering, double stops, and ensemble-style textures. The AccelMatrix physical modeling engine by AccelMatrix powers the underlying acoustic simulation; GeoShred's integrated FX rack adds reverb, echo, and amp modeling as part of the signal chain.

Warm Resonance Across Four Strings

The cello spans nearly four octaves, tuned in perfect fifths (C, G, D, A). Its middle register, particularly on the D and G strings, is frequently compared to the human voice in warmth and expressiveness. In GeoShred Studio, the AccelMatrix model captures that rich, singing quality while adding polyphonic capability, so the cello's resonant tone can be voiced as sustained chords, contrapuntal lines, or solo melodic phrases with equal responsiveness.

GeoShred Studio and GeoShred Control

GeoShred Studio runs as a VST3, AU, or AUv3 plugin inside Logic Pro, Cubase, Reaper, and other major DAWs, or as a standalone application. Its multi-row isomorphic surface is tuned in perfect fourths, providing natural melodic continuity across the cello's range and supporting the kind of connected, expressive phrasing that defines string performance.

GeoShred Control pairs with GeoShred Studio via USB and puts a second multi-touch surface on an iPhone or iPad for use during live performance. MPE hardware, wind and breath controllers connect directly as well.
