NadIR is a zero latency, dual Impulse Response (IR) convolver, designed to be used as a cabinet simulator for guitar and bass (pre)amplifiers (VST/AU or even hardware).

It has been designed to perform pristine quality convolution in real time, while being light on the CPU and easy to use, providing advanced built-in filters and delay controls to let guitarists and bassists shape their tone with ease, without the need to be professional audio engineers.
NadIR is meant to be used as a cabinet simulator for live playing and jamming, tracking or mixing inside hosts capable of AAX, AU, VST or VST3 Plug-Ins support.

I have the original NadIR, with the "two slanted cab" file loader GUI. That was the one available before STL got in the mix. I believe that's the source of the confusion.

If you know someone who still has the original, that one will do just fine. There's tons of free IR's all over the place, so whichever one you get, you're good to go.

This has been my go-to IR loader for guitar and bass tracks for a long time.

Reasons for that are:

- 64-bit - which most of the other IR loaders haven't been when I checked back in the days.

- super easy to set up.

- mixing 2 IRs is possible/easy and very usefull.

- the 2 slots make comparing IRs very easy and fast.

The only reason that I'm no longer using it is that I downloaded the free "Pulse" from Rosen Digital. It's essentially the same plugin (has been created by Ignite Amps for Rosen) and in addition has a free Rosen Pulse cab IR build in for when you just need a quick test.

I personnaly see no link to download it for free. The URL takes you to the main Ignite Amps page where there is no link to get NadIR. If anybody can help....

I believe it's in the (free) Emissary Bundle. You have to register an account to access the downloads.
