Important Note

Proteus tone files and capture utility not included with the Proteus install, but can be downloaded from GuitarML.com for free. This plugin plays Proteus model files (.json format) that can be downloaded from the ToneLibrary on GuitarML.com. Successfully performing a device capture requires the user to have recording hardware available including: an Audio Device, Re-Amp device, and any associated microphone/cables for recording your amp/pedal. Limited to Distortion/Overdrive/Boost style effects/amps, cannot capture time based effects such as Reverb/Delay.

For sheer amount of amp/pedal models this thing has, it's a must have.

I'd go as far to say, that with this installed, you probably won't need any other guitar amp and pedal emulation.

I tried a dozen or so models and all of them sounded good and quite close to the physical stuff it's been modeled after.

Also big kudos to the author for taking extra effort putting up a Linux versions and tackling all of the most popular plugin formats.
