Nine Strip

I give it 3 stars because it's not shit, It did not crash my pc, and u can clearly hear the airwindows setup in there but the gui needs some work, the knobhandling is terrible and the reduction meter in the dynamics section keeps flickering and doesn't give you an indication of what the compressor is doing, and the drive from the consol channel9 kicks in later then you apply it. But, overall a nice simple design tho and it has the potential but it's just not there yet :).

Hey hi, i'm the developer of Nine Strip.

The gain reduction metering I'm already looking into :).

Could you tell me more about these 2 things?

  • "the knobhandling is terrible".
  • "the drive from the consol channel9 kicks in later then you apply it".

I've been using the lite version on every single one of my tracks as of late, I had to get the full version.

This right here is the end all be all retro style synth. It sounds fantastic, is super easy to use and fun to play with. You can get such a variety of sounds out of it, and all of them will sound crisp and alive. The tracker style modulation is fun to use, and invites a unique perspective when it comes to sound design.

I just can't stop using it, Fors really is one of the best plugin makers out there, especially as a Linux user. I just wish Tela also had a Linux version.

SMOOTH

just added both 'smooth' and 'warm'(well-named plugins!) to my arsenal; both are excellent tools, great at what they do. my fave is smooth; it has a tasteful, informative GUI, and works well with resonances, the way something like soothe2 does.. but for a fraction of the cost.

it's a no-frills plugin, but that's kinda my preference. and it's stable (logic pro 12). both plugins are highly-recommended.

Response from kernaudioio from KERN audio on March 27th, 2026

really appreciate the kind words on both plugins. and glad SMOOTH holds up well next to soothe2 in your workflow. stable on Logic 12 is good to hear too, that's useful feedback mate.

All over the internet, and even here, it says it is free. It is not free... not the program, not the standalone plugin. It's $10.

Was very skeptical at first given that there was a pre-order waitlist. However, it was well worth the wait. This synth can really blend samples in a unique and powerful way. Looking forward to diving deeper.

I had to register so I could write at least a few words. I own almost all of Artvera's products and I love them. The sounds are beautifully spatial and carefully programmed.

I also downloaded her latest product Undersea Empire and now I have another treasure in my collection. I wanted to write a review, but I saw that it had already been reviewed, so I decided to write a few nice words about the Exposure library. Although it was released some time ago, it still offers many beautiful, inspiring sounds. I'm quite surprised that no one has written a single word about this library, especially since it was released in honor of Tim Conrardy, who was one of the best sound designers and unfortunately left us quite unexpectedly at a relatively young age.

The Exposure library offers very beautiful pads and together with the included music loops, forms almost complete tracks. Although it is completely free and offers only 52 NKI files (Tim died at the age of 52), its sounds can rival even expensive Kontakt libraries.

If you haven't downloaded this treasure yet, I highly recommend doing so as soon as possible.
And finally, my big thanks to Artvera, your products bring us joy and are a benefit to the music community.

not sure what is going on with the download link for epicVerb mkII, all other products on the developer's website download w/o any issues, this one just hangs. I noticed Chrome was the culprit (perhaps in my security settings were too aggressive), so I switched over to Edge and the product downloaded.

insane kick machine. I have generated some absolute beasts with this plugin.

I was kinda confused at first, but once I got deeper into the tool, I could consistently get a really nice sound,
