This thing is astounding. It has already saved numerous mastering jobs when the kick and bass stems have been anemic. I'm blown away. Just stunning on bass, kicks and anything else in need of low-end fullness and beauty. Bravo Kush! Bravo.

Sometimes you just need to put a digital plugin in a realistic space, without a bunch of fuss. This is a useful plugin at zero cost.

I've been extremely satisfied with Spectrasonics Keyscape for most of my electric keyboard needs (best Rhodes by a long shot), but Sampleson surprised me with this Electrix offering. It adds something unique instead of trying to compete with Keyscape. Electrix sounds gorgeous to me.

Limited flexibility but very cool sound none the less. Grab it whenever it goes on sale for $29 or less. That's what I did. No regrets. You can never have enough good reverbs, especially on the cheap.

Best brickwall limiter on the market, bar none. I use it mainly for about 4dB of final gain. It also adds excellent glue and a bit of warmth too, if you don't push it beyond what is reasonable. I've tested every mastering limiter on the market. This buries them all... which is a bit surprising for IK Multimedia. It's a hidden gem to be sure.

Nobody does classic reverbs better than UA. Another emulation grand slam that does not sound like a plugin.

I had been waiting for Voxengo to release this functionality in a standalone plugin. I would have paid for it, but here it is for free. Voxengo is legendary in my book for dropping incredibly useful metering plugins for free that outperform competitors' plugins that run over a hundred bucks. SPAN, Correlometer, MSED, Stereo Touch, Sound Delay get used on every job. Correlometer lets me pinpoint phase problems immediately, which is a huge time-saver. I don't find single correlation meters to be much use when compared to one like this that shows the whole spectrum. It just seems anyone who cares about phase would want to know where the cancellations are happening. This solves that... for free. I also love how Voxengo lets you tweak metering behavior to taste. Even when I try metering plugins from other Vendors or get the occasional NFRs, I always seem to prefer Voxengo's free plugins anyway.

I don't care for the overuse of Autotune in music. To put it accurately, I hate it. But everyone has to polish a turd once in a while. I was very impressed by this plugin. It blows away Logic Pro's built-in plugin that is supposed to do the same thing. MAutoPitch sounds a ton better, and the additional effects like widening are very useful. You can get extremely professional results with it. And it's free, which is frankly amazing for this level of quality. Don't waste money on Autotune when you can pick this up for free. If your needs go beyond what this can do, you should be using Melodyne anyway.

Spectacular analog quality of sound, surpassing all others! My go-to phaser from now on. Use heavily for thick results or lightly to introduce movement to stagnant, uninspired or digital-sounding sources. Might still be on sale but not for long.

Easily the best modular synth plugin by a wide margin. Voltage module development is happening A LOT faster than its competitors. The interface is a better and more intuitive by a landslide (yes, you can drag modules between other modules, and they'll make room like you'd expect; Softube's doesn't do that, which is quite frustrating). The features that have been added to Voltage since its launch are staggering. Voltage can also host other plugins with an impressive level of integration in regard to both audio and modulation. Turn every other synth plugin you own into a powerful module without leaving Voltage or your DAW. Voltage also offers a friendly interface for developing your own modules, which is a great way to learn Java while you're at it. I cannot say enough great things about Voltage. It's a synth head's dream.
