Old BPB Cassette Drums

Can't go wrong for a low CPU usage emulation of the BOSS TR-606/808/909 drum machines. I switched to these from the TS-808 VST in 32-bit.

Cocoa Delay

Looks fantastic, as you'd expect from a tesselode plugin. Has everything you'd expect from a standard delay VST (e.g. tempo sync, modulation, panning). However, the drive section has too many controls for how subtle it is (don't see why it couldn't just be Drive/Output//Mix). The LFO also gets far too ridiculous far too fast - there's very little usable range for nice modulated delays.

Worth downloading for the number of excellent drum kit presets (e.g. 808s, rock kits). I haven't tested out the sound engine or sampling features very much, but works fine from what I can tell.

Sounds excellent, and is the high quality you expect from a Full Bucket Music VST. However, the lack of tempo sync is a real letdown and means I don't tend to reach for this plugin. There's also not enough usable range on the LFO section - gets very silly very fast.

Tempo sync is now available. :-).

A free amp basically mimicking an Orange Tiny Terror. Easy to control, does decent mid to high gain sounds. CPU usage is also low enough to work for live tracking.

My favourite JUNO 60 chorus VST is still the one by Togu Audio Line (TAL-CHORUS-LX) because of the simplicity, but this sounds just as good and is worth downloading if you need more control over your modulation.

I switched to this VST from another because it doesn't take ages to load or have a tendency to crash. There's a few different sounds and all of them sound fantastic. Don't see any reason to pay for a piano VST with this around.

Do you want simple filter sweeps and are not too bothered about making them resonant? This is the plugin for you. Do you want to clean up extreme high and low-end on tracks without fussing about with bands on your stock EQ? This is also the plugin for you.

Wider

Incredibly simple stereo widener effect. If you need your mix to sound wider, stick this on your track and you're good to go. Not really sure what else I can add - pleasant interface, CPU usage is fine. Don't feel the need for anything more complicated.

I wanted to like this synth because it looks absolutely fantastic, but the sticking point for me was the modulation section. It didn't feel particularly intuitive and I couldn't get a satisfactory filter sweep sound.
