World Famous electronic duo Infected Mushroom and Polyverse are proud to announce Wider, a unique stereo effect for free.
Wider takes the massively popular pseudo stereo section from its sibling, Manipulator, and gives any user the ability to create the illusion of an expanded stereo image of any mono signal to an awe-inspiring degree. However, Wider is a unique stereo plugin in the sense that it is completely "mono-compatible", meaning that any signal that has been extended will always remain in phase with itself, even if summed to mono.
Many pseudo stereo effects currently in use have the nasty habit of knocking signals out of phase, which can quickly make tracks sound muddy and unbalanced, or make sounds seem flat and lacking dynamics if one isn't mindful of the effect. Thanks to Wider's one-of-a-kind all-pass and comb filtering algorithm, a natural sounding stereo image is created from a mono channel, without compromising the phase between the sides. Instead, Wider cancels itself out when summed to mono, so the original signal is left intact.
Wider can be used to increase the stereo image of any signal up to 200% of full stereo for an extra wide, exaggerated effect.
Version 2.0, includes a low-end bypass function, allowing users to exclude the low frequencies from the stereo widening effect, along with GUI scaling settings, mono and bypass buttons, improved stability, and minor bug fixes.
Wider is available in VST, AU, and AAX formats, making it compatible with a variety of host applications, including Ableton Live, Logic, Pro Tools, Cubase, and Studio One. It can be used in 64-bit instances with Windows XP and later and with Mac OS X 10.12 and later.
Wider is available immediately from Polyverse Music for free at polyversemusic.com/products/wider.

WIDER is great. Simple to use and works as promised. I love this thing.
I paid for Nugen Stereoizer, but was tired of licensing crap...and what if the company goes out of business? I'm stuck with useless software.
The additional benefit of WIDER, which I see less and less of these days, it's that it's a no-strings attached DLL you drop in and use. There are some paid ones (Klanghelm, Brusfri, etc.) that I have paid for and also are this simple.
I would pay for WIDER. It's that good.
I'm over "management layers" or "licensing layers" or buying into an ecosystem. Drag and drop DLLs that do the job...and do it well, are my future.
Great plugin.
Read Reviewa must have plugin because it works without negatively affecting the correlation .................................................................................................................
Read ReviewProbably one of my Have most used plugins. Have demo'd a few paid wideners and see no reason to change at the moment.

Incredibly simple stereo widener effect. If you need your mix to sound wider, stick this on your track and you're good to go. Not really sure what else I can add - pleasant interface, CPU usage is fine. Don't feel the need for anything more complicated.

Another great mono-to-stereo effect for the tool box, and the mono-compatibility is excellent. 50-70% mix is enough to get a nice width.
Read ReviewIt's comparable to some of your favorite stereo spreading tools with no distortion. I tried it on one track using live and electronic instruments and it expanded and polished my mix with no artifacts.
is the site down?
i can't connect to it at all...
