The paia fatman kit is what got me started in building synths and producing electronic music... I got the kit while in high school and put it together with a friend. It was a great experience and for the money the synth was a good choice. It is capable of some really nice fat basslines.
Improvisor is a free generative music application for Percussa AudioCubes. Each cube is automatically connected to a separate step sequencer. By putting cubes next to each other new sequences automatically emerge.
