I still need to run an update on that paper. Haven't found time for this yet.

Just in short:
Have a focus on the "short term" loudness while measuring music. This is way more accurate and actually works better with the color codes than the Momentary Meter.

In short: knobs/settings can have different values after an update because the mapping of (normalized) host parameters to GUI parameters (such as frequencies) may have changed in some of the plugins (especially for knobs with logarithmic behavior).

Barricade (when multi-band is enabled) and ReelBus may sound different (and hopefully better) due to algorithmic improvements. The latency reduction in Barricade is only related to the multi-band / auto saturation process. If that is not used (set to 0), the output of Barricade should be identical with the same settings as previously.

Thanks for the clarifications, I still believe the smarter thing would have been treating them as different plugins with new Ids... Much less hassle in going back and forth between projects that use the new and the old ones...

Too late for this?

Thanks, Mario.

Glad to hear that Barricade hasn't changed as much as the GUI seemed to indicate. Looking forward to trying BusCompressor!

I think the gui for the reverb is a great improvement! :tu:

Actually, I was referring to the sound (haven't seen the "gui". I was soooo stoked about the sound...)

THERE IS SOMETHING OUTRAGEOUS THAT'S GOING ON THERE.

I hope Jeroen will chime in on the subject...

Everything in this bundle is an improvement.

Awhile back, I put myself on the very monastic, super restrictive plugin diet and I'm especially not interested in any saturation plugins (not any more) but the Toneboosters might be something that can break my vow.

The GUI is supremely useful, practical, clear and yet with just the right amount of dimension to them. I also like the size -simply perfect.

Bus compressor is just as good as the Sonoris SMCP.

The reverb is not bad at all, though not exactly my cup of tea. I think it might work very well as an additive, "complimentive" reverb (I just came up with this word).

FIX is da bomb.

I have zero interest in Reelbus simply because I track with huge chains of analogue stuff and therefore anything on top of that just destroys it.

I think the absence of good delay is a bit strange. I would've loved to see a well designed, functional delay in this bundle, even though there is such a huge plethora of other delays.

I would suggest to the developer a simple GUI face lift for the previous delay that would place it in line with current plugs.

All in all - this stuff is the best value for money out there.

Not hard to see it would be way more of a hassle for jeroen than the user simply renaming the plugins (if that's what you want to do).

As others said, renaming the plugins could be not enough for some hosts, because they would still share the plugin internal ID confusing the host...

As already explained in a post above, renaming doesn't help regarding an AU plu-in.

That EQ is a really great tool...

It's very detailed and one of my favourites in the package...

Jeroen is a very smart cookie and these are great plugins that he has coded..

Instead of bitchin' and moanin' we should all be very grateful..

So what if the preset structure has changed...

Go old school without any presets and you might just look at the solution from a different perspective...
