Sounds amazing.
Mind to share how you did it?
Murderous duck!

It's in his synth1 bank.

honestly, i don´t know... i screw the knobs until i see/hear fit. however, knowing what the original sound is doing and having experience on what sounds the way it sounds and why, is something that comes along with experience over the time... in this case i knew which synth did the sound (a korg pe 2000), precisely, one of the two availlable chorus registers. i heard it originally, had the luck to get one of these units under my fingers back in the days. essentially it´s some kind of a 3 osc per note stringmachine with divided down, full polyphony with a bbd like chorus on some of the registers, which does influence the sound tremendeously. it´s actually a synth that doesn´t have a lot features, it just sounds how it sounds. iirc, it only had rudimentary osc color switches for the "registers" or types of instruments, an amp env (ar), and a global hi and low shelf filter and a crappy sounding phaser... a cool thing was, that you could seperately detune two of the oscs... well, just read the rest here, this is the original jarre did equinox with:

http://www.vintagesynth.com/korg/pe2000.php

and here´s a sound demo of the chorus register:

hope this helps a bit...

It's not in his synth1 bank, patch#128 is an INIT sound.

Post

Yes, I was imprecise. It was a bonus preset for his bank. :)

...what I'm using to emulate the E310U is a sample of the real instrument found somewhere on the interweb going through the artsacoustica BigRock.mIt sounds quite convincing, except for the stereo panning (Oxygene 2) which I'm not sure how to reproduce....

On another type "sound topic", the biggest difficulty for me is to reprdoduce the VCS3 zweeps in Oxy 2 , both the very slow and fast to slow ones.
I had some moderate success in modulating the rate of an LFO which in turns modulate the pitch (?) of a saw (?) oscillator.
The ? is where I'm not sure, maybe the real patch has more modulation going on.
The resulting sweep is kind of harsh...the original is quite smooth and more "bubbly". Im using Logic ES2, but I guess any synth with a decent mod-matrix should do the trick. I also have the Xils3 VCS3 emulation, but I honestly do not know even where to start....I may have to spend more time with it.

If anyone can share or suggest any approach it will be great ! Postprocessing (delay, pan etc) too!

Ah! Did not know about those...mine I'm not sure where I got them...but the perkristian ones seems to be better than what I have. Thanks!

Are there any VST recreations of the RMI (Rocky Mount Instrument) Harmonic Synthesizer?

Quite unusual for 1974 it employed Additive Synthesis:

"The RMI Harmonic synthesizer offers very unique and characteristic sounds thanks to a special sound generation : additive synthesis."

Thanks :-)

The dev also has a webpage of his own: http://tomsaouzinstruments.tumblr.com/

"This is only a Beta version but it will be on the final version in few month"

That was posted June 2013, unfortunately it doesn't seem he has got round to releasing the final version yet.
