Hi guys,
in this video I show you the development of an interface to control a Gakken SX-150 via CV / Gate.
The goal was to create an interface that did not include permanent changes to the Gakken; so no welding on the PCB Gakken or holes on its box.
So I made a small circuit that converts the signals CV / Gate Standard (1 Volt / Octave) into a signal compatible with Gakken (about 0.35 V / octave); I also added the control of octave span (to adjust the correct V/octave ratio) and the control of the pitch (to tune the Gakken); finally I added a switch to lower by about an octave the pitch.
Everything was placed in a DIY wooden case.
In the video I used a Arturia MicroBrute to control and tune the Gakken.

Hello! I've been looking into Gakken SX-150 mods and saw a thread of yours where you mentioned you got the device working with the littleBits out on the Korg SQ-1 sequencer! I was wondering if you could detail that, if you still remember, and if that was through the modifications done here! I can also post a link to that thread to help your memory if needed (not sure of forum rules!)

Thanks so much for your awesome work with these!
