How Come TAL Sampler Doesn't Allow For Exact BPM Changes?

I read in the manual you can use Strech to slow or speed up the BPM, but I was looking for something like in Serato Sampler or Ableton where you can change the exact BPM. Did I read the manual wrong or is that just not a feature?

Yeah me too, oldschool style. Just play with the tune and fine. I don’t know if it’s just me, but I think it sounds better than time stretch or slice, at least in TAL-SAMPLER.

Time stretch isn't meant to change the sample like that. Its meant to keep the sample playing at the same tempo when you go up and down the keyboard. Turn it off, and you get the good old 'octave down is half speed, octave up is double speed' action.
You TUNE the sample at the root note to be in time with the tempo (its an old school sampler, thats how its done in TAL too). Then you turn on the stretching so it keeps it at that tempo whether you're playing an octave down or two octaves up.
That stuff is crucial for good old jungle fills and breaks..
