That's interesting. I would go with Ableton Live (which i have) for making beets, Pro Tools (which i don't have any more and don't want) for mixing, and Reaper (which i have) for "mastering."EfreetiSultan wrote: Mon Dec 09, 2024 12:55 pm Pro tools for making beats, ableton live for mixing and fl studio for mastering. Pro tools just has that extra definition in the lows great for kicks. Ableton live has nice summing, you're able to go really loud. Fl studio uses 384khz so you can do better masters in there!
Currently i have to make do with cubase can't afford others..![]()
I absolutely don't need those features since I haven't had the mental capacity to sit down and finish tunes for like 5 years.lfm wrote: Sun Dec 08, 2024 3:55 am Just stay away for Steinberg Nuendo and Magix Sequoia and you should be fine with anything.
- these are silly expensive
If you need those features, I feel for you....
Wait it almost sounded like you were serious there for a momentCrystalWizard wrote: Mon Dec 09, 2024 11:16 pmThat's interesting. I no longer have a good enough room to master, which imo is way more important than which DAW.
I had "mastered" everything i did in whichever of the two DAWs i used to make the tracks. Anything that i tracked or recorded elsewhere got edited in CoolEditPro and mastered with Reaper.
Updating this to include Pro Tools as my secondary DAW. I recently upgraded my license because I still use and prefer it for certain circumstances, but Logic is and will be my main DAW for the foreseeable future.cryophonik wrote: Tue Mar 15, 2022 4:22 pm I paid $199 for Logic many years ago and not another dime since. Even though that's by far the best bargain of any DAW I currently own, it's the one I'd choose at any price.

No one here has ever proven me incorrect. Ever. If it appears that way it's due to selective reading. People read what they want to read and decipher it to make themselves feel important and that puts blinders on.

Add to this that when i make a statement, it's truth and you know what they say about truth? The truth hurts. Peoplw will avoid truth like KVRists avoid hit records.
That's a dumb approach to be honest. A more logical way is to just hang on to your money until you have enough saved to get the DAW required.mothra wrote: Thu Dec 12, 2024 2:45 am Save your money for a little bit longer and just get what you need.
I believe that is exactly what I said..
