Physical Audio releases PA4 Dual Spring Reverb for Mac AU with launch sale

-
Physical Audio

Physical Audio has announced the release of PA4 Dual Spring Reverb, which they say is the first plug-in to model wave propagation in helical springs.

The audio engine is built entirely upon the simulation of the inherent physical equations, without any approximations. This gives innovative control over the springs, with fully-customisable parameters.

The modelling starts from a mathematical description of wave propagation in elastic helical structures. The physical properties such as length, wire radius, and pitch angle are then mapped to the perceptual parameters. From there, a discrete modal system is created with up to 4,000 modes for each spring.

Main Features:

  • Adjustable spring setup using:
    • Echo Time.
    • Echo Spread.
    • Chirp Cutoff.
    • Boing.
  • Multi-band frequency dependent Decays:
    • Low, mid, and high Chirp modes.
    • Shimmer modes.

Initial launch sale
PA4 Dual Spring Reverb is priced at £39 during the launch sale (regular price £69).

PA4 is available as an Audio Unit plug-in for macOS 10.9 or above.
