Zaplin Music has released triqtraq, a new jam sequencer for the iPhone for the iOS.
Besides straight-forward recording of sequences in a 16-step grid, triqtraq offers more advanced features like real-time automation, sample import and polyrhythm.
The user can set the loop length and speed for each automatable parameter, un-linking it from the loop length of the note sequence, to make ever changing variations of a pattern.
For sequences longer than 16 steps, it is possible to chain multiple patterns together (max. 16 patterns for loops of 256 steps).

triqtraq is available for an introductory price of $1.99 / €1.59 on the App Store and runs on iPhone (3GS, 4, 4S), iPod touch (3rd, 4th gen) and iPad.
