Bitsonic releases "Violent Transient" Free Windows VST Effect Plugin

-
Bitsonic

Bitsonic has released Violent Transient, a free VST plug-in for Windows that can change the transient of your audio track.

Here's what they say:

In acoustics and audio, a transient is a high amplitude, short-duration sound at the beginning of a waveform that occurs in phenomena such as musical sounds, noises or speech. If we like the big transient, the first is to mix the original sound with a short-term high frequency sound. The second way is to higher the first note for a little time. The first part of the violent plugin series works with the latter. The transient works like a compressor with short attack time, but the mechanism is different.

This looks interesting, but unfortunately it seems to be 32-bit only and makes its own decision about where it's going to put the VST. I'm trying to use 64-bit only, so my 32-bit VST folder is a graveyard containing a few other never-used duplicate plugins (and I don't want to risk confusion by directing my sequencers to it just to get one freeware VST working).

I'm in the same boat as "Other hand". Although I am very grateful for a quality free VST, I believe we are at the point where 64-bit is essential. Thank you but keeping things running smooth in my DAW is meaning I don't use the bridge to run 32-bit VST's on my 64-bit set up. It takes a very large amount of CPU power very quickly and can only utilize 3.7 Ghz of RAM to try and do it.
