Bitwig and PreSonus are making it easy to share projects between programs for producers using multiple DAWs.
Transferring projects between programs can be time-consuming or complex and Bitwig has teamed up with PreSonus to create a free, open, DAW-agnostic file format that allows you to save projects in one DAW and open them in another. This new DAWproject file format is now supported in Bitwig Studio (5.0.9) and Studio One (6.5).
DAWproject files encompass a comprehensive array of information, including details concerning time, tracks, channels, audio, note data, automation data, and even the status of the utilized plug-ins within a project. This eliminates the need to bounce your stems when sharing or transferring a project, as you can simply save it as a DAW project file and open it in another program, even if it possesses distinctly different features.
