D16 Group has announced the release of Sigmund 2, introducing a more accessible GUI and numerous news features.
Sigmund breaks away from the traditional single-delay line design by offering four independent delay lines. Each delay line boasts its own set of comprehensive controls, allowing users to sculpt rhythmic patterns, atmospheric echoes, and other unique delay effects.
Each delay line in Sigmund is equipped with a filter and overdrive module. These function independently of the feedback loop, allowing for a broader sonic palette. This extends beyond standard delay effects, enabling the creation of unconventional textures and the crafting of intricate delay patterns.
The four delay lines can be interconnected in various configurations, providing producers with a powerful tool for sound exploration. Switching between parallel, serial, and other routing options is a breeze, allowing users to quickly experiment and discover vastly different sonic landscapes.
D16 Group states that Sigmund embodies the principle of "The whole is greater than the sum of its parts." The plugin's modular structure and versatile routing is designed to encourage experimentation and complex delay configurations.
