Softube and Weiss Engineering have announced the release of Weiss Exciter, a new exciter plug-in.
This collaboration aims to provide a transparent harmonic enhancement, designed to add vibrancy and crispness while maintaining the integrity of the original sound. Unlike traditional exciters that might overemphasize EQ or apply harsh multi-band distortion, the Weiss Exciter generates musically relevant harmonics with minimal EQ coloration.

- Adaptive non-linearities for consistent harmonics across different levels.
- A mastering mode that reduces fundamental frequencies in distortion.
- Sharp, phase-compensated filters.
- Four mathematically defined harmonic modes.
The Weiss Exciter offers an intuitive interface, allowing users to define focus and output bands for harmonics with a frequency visualization. Controls are available for four harmonic modes, stereo width, filter types, and a unique Mastering switch. An expert panel provides professional mastering engineers with deeper control over harmonic shaping. The plug-in is also Console 1-ready.

Weiss Exciter is available now at an introductory price of $99 (Reg. $199) until July 3, 2025. It is also included in Weiss Complete Collection 2, which has an introductory price of $699 (Reg. $999). Upgrade pricing is available for existing users.
Weiss Exciter is also part of the Flow Mastering Suite subscription, which costs $14.99 USD/EUR per month and offers perpetual ownership of Softube plug-ins over time. Current Flow Mastering Suite subscribers receive access to Weiss Exciter at no additional cost.
