GRN

GRN captures incoming audio and lets you pull grains from anywhere in its history. Not just frozen moments — you choose how far back to reach, how wide to scatter, and how chaotic it gets. The result: textures that evolve, shift, and surprise you.

Grain Control

• Size 10-500ms, Density 0.5-100/sec (tempo-syncable).
• Playhead Position with adjustable zone width.
• Buffer Size — Short, Medium, or Long.
• Spray — scatter within selected zone.
• Freeze — lock buffer, replay indefinitely. Freeze Hold keeps audio playing when DAW transport stops.
• Gate — threshold-based grain triggering.
• Step Mode — built-in rhythm sequencer: 4/8/16 steps, per-step subdivision fills, drag-paint editing, with dotted/triplet swing.

Pitch & Harmony

• Pitch shift ±24 semitones — FREE (continuous), CHROM (semitones), or SCALE (scale-locked) modes.
• Pitch jitter up to ±12 semitones.
• Harmony Mode — Octaves, Fifths, Oct+5th. Scatter knob controls how many grains receive harmony intervals; Direction knob steers pitch up, down, or both.
• Scale Quantization — Major, Minor, Major Pentatonic, Minor Pentatonic, Dorian, Phrygian, Lydian, Mixolydian, Harmonic Minor, Whole Tone.
• Reverse Chance — per-grain probability of backwards playback (0-100%).

Filter

• Main HP/LP filters with resonance (Q) and 12/24 dB/oct slope.
• PRE / POST routing — filter before the grain engine, after it, or both.
• Drag rings on the spectrum display — X sets cutoff, Y sets resonance.

FX Rack

• 10 built-in effects — Bitcrusher, Chorus, Reverb, Delay, Phaser, Flanger, Distortion, Tremolo, Utility, and Filter.
• All 10 can run at once, in any order.
• Drag-to-reorder effect chain.
• Per-slot animated visualizers and bypass toggle.
• WET / DRY / BOTH routing — process the granular output, the dry signal, or both.

Modulation

• 2 LFOs + 2 ADSR envelopes — drag any source onto any knob or fill bar to assign.
• LFO: 7 shapes (Sine, Triangle, Square, Saw Up, Saw Down, Sample & Hold, Random), tempo sync from 1/1 to 1/32 with DAW phase lock, bipolar depth.
• Envelopes: ADSR with Audio (threshold) or per-Grain triggering — pulses that follow your input or fire on every grain.
• Targets cutoffs, harmony, position bars, FX params, and more.

Feedback Engine

• Route output back through the full chain.
• Delay 10-2000ms.
• 3 saturation modes (Warm / Tube / Crunch).
• Stereo width, tape wobble.
• HP/LP filters with resonance and 12/24 dB/oct slope.
