Bzur brought up something not too long ago - perhaps limit the stacking system where if there are 50 tracks, you only score 10. If there are 50-75, you score 15. That way you only put your top 10 / 15 / xyz tracks up, rather than having to do all of them.
I don't know, I always get a little sad when seeing scoreboards from older OSC editions, with lots of tracks with zero points, because voters could only chose their top 5 at that time. It's not one of the most exciting things, psychologically speaking. :P

OSC 60 might not be the best OSC edition to evaluate the effectiveness of the stacking system, because of the huge amount of entries. Better wait a little bit more and see how the system will actually work out on "normal" OSC editions, so to speak.
Well, it's not that I don't want to evaluate a lot of songs but the fact that there may be ten or twelve tracks that I think are somehow equal end up being twelve steps apart in the row, giving the impression that the top one is waayyyy better than the last one in this particular row.

The voting site might be down for a few minutes... updating username validation

Is it possible to order the voter form based on the soundcloud order - as that's how I am keeping track - alphabetical seems non intuitive to the way we are all listening to the tracks....?

Ok, had a few wierd issues, but it's up again.

Anyone with a "." in their kvr username can sign up - sorry about that.

I agree ordering 68 tracks now is quite a task and a bit more effort than rating all with 1-5 points like previously, but this was the system wanted by the vast majority in the last rules poll.

Don't forget that we have 15 days to vote and the page will remember your last stack so one can do bits at a time, there's no need to sort them all in one go.

We can vote over tweaks to the system in the next rules poll like just selecting top 10 or whatever, but let's see first after a normal OSC which normally only has 20-35 entries if it's quite Ok after all.

BTW, as with the normal OSC page, there is no logging of anything in the voting page either so don't feel that anyone is looking over your shoulder while voting meaning there's no rush or time limt etc and you can change how often and whatever you like.

Ah yes, that's a tady silly. It's easier if we fix this for next month. Are you using Internet Explorer? Or you just like using soundcloud with the voting screen?

BTW, we don't store plain text passwords, so it's impossible for me or anyone else (Except the NSA) to figure it out (it's hashed). Also we don't log anything. Likewise, the way the votes are stored, it's extremely difficult to view who's in the lead, etc, until the end until each vote is in.

Can't make an account on the new voting site. The field with the KVR nick doesn't accept my 'e@rs' input.

e@rs, thanks for the heads up. I'll fix this right now.

Sorry, updating the site - please wait a few minutes!

Post

Ok, site updated.

Worked! Great job, bj!

Man, the new voting system it's a pain. Now I have to choose between 2 tracks that I like in equal measure? I don't get it, why people wanted this instead of giving points?

@bj: Please, don't take it personally, I know it was hard work...
