If you've been wanting more flexibility in the type of modulations you can do with our plugins, we're happy to announce that we've made one big addition to our suite which we think you'll like: envelope followers.
Envelope followers use the signal of their input to dynamically control something else, like the volume of a different track or the intensity of an effect.
It's a useful way to make parts of your music more reactive and alive.
For example, you could control the volume of a lead synth using the signal from a drum loop. This means that, similar to a sidechain, you could create a pumping effect where the synth only comes in when the drums hit.
We've added envelope followers as a new modulation option for most of our effects and instruments, which each have their own unique applications.
For example, with the AutoFilter, you can use the envelope follower to create reactive filter sweeps.
Create a dynamically-changing EQ curve with Parity EQ.
Or have a more natural-sounding reverb with EchoThief.
Basically, you can use it for any parameter wherever you want it to dynamically change.
