Windows-G has announced the release of E-DynamicEQ300, a JSFX 2-band dynamic equalizer plugin for REAPER that features two independent filter bands:
- Band 1: Can be set to Off, Low Shelf (Cut/Boost), or Peak (Cut/Boost).
- Band 2: Can be set to Off, Peak (Cut/Boost), or High Shelf (Cut/Boost).
E-DynamicEQ300 also features two detection source modes (Main Input and Sidechain Input), lookahead control (0 ms to 20 ms), five detection channel modes (Stereo, Mid, Side, Left Only, Right Only) for control over which signal is used to calculate the detection level, and five processing channel modes (Stereo, Mid, Side, Left Only, Right Only) for control over where the dynamic equalization is applied.
Set the center or cutoff frequency of each filter band using the Frequency control (10 Hz – 21 kHz) and shape the resonance of each filter band using the Q Factor control (0.1 – 10). Control the amount of gain reduction/increase per filter band using the Ratio control (1:1 to 20:1) and set the level at which dynamic processing begins per filter band using the Threshold control (-100 dB to 0 dB). Shape the envelope with exponential attack (1 ms to 500 ms) and release (1 ms to 2000 ms) curves per filter band.
The GUI provides a real-time EQ curve display showing the dynamic activity of the filter bands as they respond to the incoming signal, along with current and maximum gain reduction/increase readouts per band. Band preview buttons solo the frequency region of the detection signal being used to trigger each filter band's dynamic processing, while smooth mute buttons when turned on, mute or bypass their respective filter bands without audio clicks.
