Chromacycle Phaser is a stereo modulation effect used to filter a signal by creating a series of peaks and troughs in the frequency spectrum, that they vary over time, creating a sweeping or whooshing effect.
The original signal is combined with a copy that is slightly out of phase, by using a dual low-frequency oscillator that modulates a switchable stage to two, four, six and eight serial all-pass filters.
These filters passes all the frequency components at constant gain, but they provide different phase shifts at different frequencies, to reach from a subtle warm phasing, a bubbly rotary effect or watery phase shift with rich vibrations, to an all-out high velocity dramatic swoosh. Suitable effect for guitar, bass, drums, keyboards and even vocals.
