Roomcast

Roomcast is an interactive 2D spatial audio plugin that lets you place a sound source and a listener inside a customizable virtual room.

Using a real-time raycasting engine, Roomcast simulates how sound travels through space, including reflections, wall obstructions, distance attenuation, and room acoustics.

Features:

• Position both the sound source and the listener on an interactive 2D map.
• Create custom acoustic environments with the room editor.
• A real-time raycasting engine simulates sound propagation, reflections, and occlusion based on the layout of your room.
• Use permeable walls, a special type of block that act like thin partitions, doors, curtains, or lightweight structures, allowing sound to pass through while still reducing and filtering it.
• Choose between multiple spatialization methods, including HRTF, Duplex, Stereo Panning, or no spatialization at all.
• Rotate the listener using the Ear Rotation control to accurately change the perceived direction of incoming sound.
• Built-in speaker emulation recreates the frequency response of common playback devices such as phones, speakers, car stereos, monitors, keyboards, and vintage telephones.
• Includes 15+ factory presets to help you get started quickly, along with a preset browser that lets you save and load your own presets.
