Tilt&Shelf is an innovative new equalizer plug-in that offers a better sounding and much easier to use alternative to graphic, parametric and even shelving equalizers for general shaping of frequency spectral content.
One of Tilt&Shelf's key features is its variable slope that can be adjusted continuously from -12dB/oct to +12dB/oct. This allows changes to the overall frequency spectrum that vary from very subtle to quite substantial. In addition, both low/high-shelf gains and frequencies can be adjusted independently in order to create combined tilt and low/high-shelf responses. In pivot mode, low-frequency as well as high-frequency content can be adjusted with just a single control.
Another key feature of Tilt&Shelf is its maximally-flat group delay, resulting in minimal pulse or transient distortion. In addition, step response overshoot is virtually absent, resulting in optimal signal transparency. Unlike the group delay of conventional equalizers, Tilt&Shelf's group delay is maximally flat at any equalizer setting, independent of gain, frequency and slope. To see why this is relevant, see comparisons of Tilt&Shelf and typical graphic, parametric and shelving equalizers.
Tilt&Shelf is a zero-latency minimum-phase equalizer. Unlike a linear-phase equalizer, it does not exhibit any pre-ringing. 64-Bit audio processing throughout ensures no-compromise audio quality. The following sampling rates are supported: 44.1kHz, 48kHz, 88.2kHz, 96kHz, 192kHz and 384kHz.
