Holonic Systems recently updated its contextual, Mixed Reality synth app Holon to version 0.6. Holon is now also compatible with iOS 10.
In addition to UI and performance improvements, Holon now contains a demo of the upcoming professional editor app, Holon.ist.
The demo automatically finds your VCV Rack application on the network and allows you to control the Holon.ist Receiver for VCV Rack using motion, weather and other signals, including sensor data from Apple Watch (Series 2 or newer), and the Suunto Movesense smart sensor (using optional IAP).
Holonic Systems' VCV Rack components, which include demo patches, can be downloaded free of charge from vcvrack.com/plugins.html#holonic
As a bonus pro feature, Holon can also use your step rate, speed or heart rate (if available) to set the master tempo, using Ableton Link (needs to be enabled from Settings).
Minimum system requirements:
- A data plan, headphones, iOS 10 and an iPhone 6s/SE, or newer are required to use Holon.
Pricing and availability
Holon v0.6 is available now in all Apple App Stores. Holon is currently free of charge, but for complete functional biofeedback, Apple Watch (Series 2 or newer) and Suunto Movesense sensors can be enabled through an In-App Purchase (IAP), each EUR 4,49 / USD 4.99.
