Hora Music releases PCM Drum for VCV Rack

Hora Music

Hora Music has released PCM Drum for VCV Rack, emulating the sounds and features of classic PCM (sample based) Drum machines of the 80s.

Hora Music says "All has been done to give a similar sound and offers the usual 80s drum machines features (tune, accent). This said the modules allows to create very original sounds far from classic 80s drums by using the reverse features, the CV control of the drum's tune and the choke on other instrument than hi hat. The LoFi addict will be glad too since the modules offers a "LoFi" mode that play roughly the samples without inter-samples interpolation."

PCM Drum contains 9 modules (25 samples each, so 225 samples) covering the sounds of:

  • LinnDrum.
  • Oberheim DMX.
  • Roland TR707.
  • Roland TR626.
  • Yamaha RX5.
  • Hammond Sakata.
  • E-mu Drumulator.
  • Korg DDD1.

And samples from other machines to complete the set of 25 samples of the modules:

  • Roland TR909.
  • Yamaha Rx21.
  • MXR-185.
  • Sequential TOM.
  • Korg PSS 50.

Price: Free / $20. The Free version offers the "LDrum" module (LinnDrum sounds). All are available on the VCV store: vcvrack.com/plugins.html#hora%20pcm
