Wusik, WilliamK's new project, has announced Wusikstation, a Hybrid Vector with Wave sequencer Sampler VSTi for Windows.
Wusikstation is designed to be a low CPU usage synth that features sample-playback and wave sequencing with a user-samples option (You can convert WAV files to WusikSND format, which the synth uses). To achieve the goal of low CPU usage most of the code is apparently being done with Assembly and SSE instructions (while retaining compatibility with non-SSE processors). The final release will come with a complete library of presets (512) and around 400 meg of sample-data. New banks of presets+samples will also be released by Wusik.com later on.
Wusikstation will cost 99.95 USD, but for a limited time you can Pre-Order for only 70.95 USD.
