I think it will be interesting to see if I can make a track using only plugins with faux wood. It adds a lot of warmth to the tone, so I hear.
Here's my list of what woody plugins I own:
Effects
- Audiothing Speaker
- Audiothing Filter VF-1
- D16 Tekturon
- D16 Toraverb 2
- Native Instruments Spring Tank (Reaktor Factory Lib)
- Softube Tube Delay
- Sonimus Britson Buss & Channel
- Soundtoys (everything!)
- U-he Presswerk
- U-he Satin
- U-he Uhbiks
- UVI Rotary
Synths:
- LennarDigital Sylenth1
- U-he Bazille
- U-he Diva
- U-he Repro-1
- U-he Repro-5
- Native Instruments Monark
- Native Instruments Photone (Reaktor Factory Lib)
Honestly, with just the U-he stuff and the Soundtoys stuff, you could probably get 99% of the way there. A couple of great synths, great delays, good reverb, lots of saturation. Only one EQ though, will have to be creative with that.
I didn't include any Kontakt/UVI stuff, I'm bored but not bored enough to go through all of that.
What plugins am I missing? What areas of production am I going to have the most troubles with?

The Native Instruments Premium Tube series has PURPLE wood, and as we all know, purple faux wood imparts the most warmth of any faux wood color other than red (Diva, rawr, so warm).
- Native Instruments Passive EQ
- Native Instruments Active EQ
- Native Instruments Vari-comp
Out of their Vintage Compressors line, VC 76 has dark wood, and VC 160 has what I would call normal wood.
- Native Instruments VC 76

Unfortunately, I don't have ACE, so I didn't think of it right off the top of my head. I went through all my AIR plugins, but I realized I never installed any of their ROMplers like DB-33. Is it any good?yellowmix wrote:You left out u-He ACE.
